Terms of service

By creating an account, installing the extension, or using FaultPilot, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you use FaultPilot for an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

You must provide accurate information, protect credentials and API/ingest keys, maintain authorized workspace access, and notify us promptly of suspected compromise. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by FaultPilot's breach of these terms.

You may monitor, scan, record, or test only systems you own or are expressly authorized to test. You must not use FaultPilot to access accounts without permission, evade security controls, disrupt services, collect unrelated personal/payment data, conduct abusive surveillance, or violate law or third-party rights.

The Interactive Recorder captures supported actions only after explicit initiation and site permission. You are responsible for notifying test participants and obtaining any required consent.

You retain ownership of data and configurations submitted to FaultPilot. You grant FaultPilot a limited license to host, process, transmit, reproduce, and display that data only as necessary to provide, secure, support, and comply with law for the service. You represent that you have the rights required to submit it.

Plan features, usage allowances, retention, intervals, pricing, taxes, and billing periods are shown at purchase or in your account. Paid subscriptions renew unless cancelled according to the checkout terms. We may enforce reasonable rate, storage, execution, and abuse limits. Fees already incurred are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise.

FaultPilot is designed to improve visibility but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, detection of every failure, delivery by every third-party alert channel, or compatibility with every website. Browser behavior, anti-automation controls, network conditions, customer configuration, and third-party services can affect results. Beta or preview features may change, fail, or be withdrawn and should not be your sole control for critical operations.

• Do not introduce malware, probe FaultPilot outside an authorized security program, overload infrastructure, or bypass quotas.
• Do not reverse engineer or resell the service except as permitted by law or a written agreement.
• Do not upload unlawful, infringing, highly sensitive, or payment-card data where the feature is not intended to process it.
• Do not use results to mislead customers or impersonate another person or organization.

You may stop using FaultPilot and close your account subject to billing commitments. We may restrict or suspend access to protect the service, prevent harm, respond to nonpayment or legal requirements, or address a material breach. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

FaultPilot and its software, branding, documentation, and service design remain ours or our licensors'. No rights are granted except the limited right to use the service under these terms. You may provide feedback; we may use it without restriction or obligation.

To the extent permitted by law, FaultPilot is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties. FaultPilot is an operational aid and not a substitute for backups, security controls, disaster recovery, human incident response, or professional advice.

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, or consequential damages. FaultPilot's aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount paid for the service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

We may update these terms to reflect service, legal, or security changes. Material changes will be communicated appropriately. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
