Maintenance windows

Schedule planned work, attach affected monitors, and prevent planned disruption from looking unplanned.

Schedule work

  1. Set a clear label and customer-safe description.
  2. Choose explicit start and end times and verify the selected timezone.
  3. Use recurrence only when the same operational window genuinely repeats.
2

Attach monitors

  1. A monitor may belong to more than one maintenance window when schedules do not conflict unexpectedly.
  2. Select the monitor type first, then choose from available monitors.
  3. Review every affected service before saving.
3

During maintenance

  1. Ongoing windows should display as ongoing with their remaining period.
  2. Expected failures should not create ordinary unplanned-outage escalation.
  3. Public status pages may show the scheduled work and affected components.
4

Edit and reuse

  1. One-time maintenance remains editable after creation.
  2. Extend an active end time when work overruns.
  3. Reuse by creating a new future window or intentionally updating recurrence; preserve historical accuracy.
